Jeremy and I have several strawberry plants growing in our front yard garden among rose bushes and shasta daisies. For the last two weeks we have harvested a couple gallons of berries and now we are finding at least 1/2 gallon worth of ripe berries every two days.
While I was outside picking berries the neighborhood gang saw me and wanted to play with the kittens. After about 10 minutes they lost interest and were more concerned with the strawberries I was gathering and offered to "help." I think about 1/3 of what I was putting in the bowl managed to find it's way in a kid's mouth. They offered to come by and "help" again tomorrow.
