And then there were 8

Saturday Jeremy and I rushed Twinkie (the cream filled wet nurse kitty), down to the vet because we found her blood work had an elevated white blood cell count which the vet determined to be a uterine infection so she needed to be spayed immediately. We were hoping to give her back this last week but because she was in such bad shape they asked if we could take care of her in an isolated area until she got better. While in surgery the vet discovered she also had a really bad case of pnemonia. Since it is so contagious to other kitties we've had to keep her in our laundry room far away from the kittens.

We are down a mountain lion however. Tabitha was taken to PetCo for adoptions. We're not sure if she got adopted yet but she is a really pretty cat and as long as she's not around any other cats she is actually really sweet.

Her kittens were a little needy the first night away from her but don't seem too phased by her departure. Sasha of all the cats seemed to miss her the most strangely enough. She cried several times throughout the night and kept looking all over the house for her. We're perplexed by this since those two took turns attacking one another.

Tonight we're kitten sitting again so I guess really we're back to nine.....temporarily.
