Today it reached an impressive 89 degrees Fahrenheit in Windsor. While this is not so impressive from what we came from, the big difference is no air conditioning anywhere. It is also very, very humid here which makes things feel warmer on warm days and bone chilling on cold ones. Our little cottage was built 200 years ago and has solid walls, no insulation really to speak of so it's very cold in the winter and on the rare hot day, like an oven.
Gwendolyn was pretty worn out after church, (no air conditioning there either), so after lunch we put her down for a nap. We need to get a fan for the poor kid's room because it is the warmest in the house when the sun is shinning, (good for the winter, bad for the summer). When she woke from her nap, she knocked on her door to let us know she was awake, (she started doing that about a week ago; she can open the door but is patient). Jeremy went to get her and the first thing she said to him was, "Water! Please!!!"
